The organizers of the 39th TEXTILE RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM have a great honour and pleasure of inviting you to take part in this conference to be held on 16-20 December 2010, at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi INDIA.
This annual symposium started in 1972 in Japan for the purpose of promoting textile research and communication between scientists and/or technologists. Today it has become an international conference on textile research covering a wide range of fields from fiber science to apparel engineering. This symposium is usually organized by the Textile Science Research Group in the Textile Machinery Society of Japan. This year it is being organized jointly by the Department of Textile Technology, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and The Textile Machinery Society of Japan. .

The Conference will focus on the essential subjects of textile science and engineering covering most relevant topics and issues relating to textile materials, technologies, fashion, design and marketing.
